Sadly our last day in Hastings and our plans have changed but we get to have a lovely day in the town seeing lots of sights we were going to save for our return trip (plus a trip on the miniature railway) so no complaints from us!

Our plans have had to change but it means we get to jump on a train to Bexhill which (including the De La Warr Pavilion has been on my must-see places for a while) for more sea & sun plus fabulous architecture and art before a return to Hastings for beading and great food with more friends.

We've escaped to the sea for a few days for some rest, colour, sea air & inspiration and have brought plenty of beadwork to do as we while away the evenings planning future projects and events…

I love when I realise that my beading & surroundings match. When teaching in-person I used to enjoy how it was easy to see whose beadwork was whose as everyone's colours would often match what they were wearing or the fabric edging on the mat

It's been far too long since I've visited the Abbaye et Jardins Des Valloires so it was lovely to walk there today and enjoy lunch full of (and garnsihed with) their home-grown ingredients and a browse in the beautiful shop which is just as colourful and full of locally made items
